Hi, I’m Dr. Michelle Botsford!
I am a licensed physical therapist and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist practicing in Portland, Oregon. I graduated from Northern Arizona University with a B.S. in Exercise Science in 2015, followed by a Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2018. Before becoming a physical therapist I worked as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor for 5 years.
Following graduation, I accepted a position as a clinic director with a large physical therapy corporation. Frustrated by the way patient care was molded to fit a business model, I quickly realized the corporate world wasn’t for me. I left my position, joined a fantastic, patient-centered clinic and have been providing quality one-on-one care to my patients ever since!
My primary clinical focus is the management of ACL injuries and sports rehab. I pride myself on providing thorough, individualized and evidence based care to each of my athletes and absiolutely love working with this patient population.
As a former gymnast, dancer and cheerleader, I can relate to the frusteration with injury keeping you away from your sport and empathize with the fear often associated with returning to the field, mat, gym, etc. This is why I dedicate myself to staying on top of current research to make sure my patients are getting back to the activities they love as quickly and safely as possible.
I currently practice at Bridgetown Physical Therapy, located in SW Portland, OR. Born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, I spend most of my free time adventuring around my new Oregon home! I love weight lifting, photography, kayaking and exploring local Portland restaurants.
I’m eager to share my interest in all things injury prevention, sports performance training, and ACL rehab with you!
